They say I’m a wedding photographer, but I beg to differ. I like to think of myself as something more: a storyteller of love in all its forms. This session with McKenna and Ani is a testament to that bond — no wedding dress or baby bump required. Just one dog mom, one very good golden girl, and a whole lot of love.

McKenna knew her sweet Ani, now a senior dog, deserved her moment in front of the lens. This wasn’t just a photoshoot — it was a tribute. In the Studio with Ani
We kept the setup simple: clean white backdrop, natural light, a wooden floor, and Ani stealing the show. McKenna wore a white tee and jeans, letting the focus stay on her golden girl. Between editorial-style shots and candid belly rubs, Ani shined. Even with a little haunch and gray around her muzzle, she gave us tail wags, trick poses, and — best of all — her famous “bat ears.”
