I loved capturing this senior portrait session in the downtown area of Anchorage, AK! This was a truly amazing experience, and I have to say, the results were nothing short of stunning! And, SO fun! For our location, we decided on the vibrant and dynamic streets of downtown Anchorage, and it was epic. This backdrop added a unique urban feel to the photoshoot, perfectly complementing Leila’s vibrant personality. The city streets, filled with life and character, did not DISAPPOINT!

Now, when you think of Alaska, the first thing that probably comes to mind is mountains, right? Well, for this shoot, we decided to switch things up a bit. Instead of the typical mountain backdrop, we opted for the urban vibes of downtown Anchorage. It ended up being a refreshing change, offering a unique, cool, and urban feel that contrasted wonderfully with Alaska’s usual mountainous scenery.
We were also incredibly lucky with the weather that day. It was an absolutely stunning evening in Anchorage, and the sunlight was just perfect! Leila, the star for the day, was a gem! It was a pleasure to work with her and capture her spirit in these portraits. She brought so much energy and positivity to the shoot, which I believe truly reflects through the photos!
We strolled through the streets, stopping at various spots that caught our eye. Each new location offered something unique, whether it was an interesting textured wall, a bright mural, or simply the way the light was hitting a particular spot. It was an adventure and one that resulted in some truly unique and beautiful shots!
