Juneau’s summer cruise season made it easy to float into Alaska for this pre-wedding celebration and glacier photo shoot. Bonus? The only glacier in Southeast Alaska accessible by road, Mendenhall Glacier spills from the vast Juneau Icefield, dropping 4,500 feet across 13 rugged miles. With waterfalls, wild forest, and a landscape carved by time, this is easily one of the most awe-inspiring places in Southeast Alaska — and a dream for any Juneau wedding or engagement photographer.

For cruise lovers, Juneau is pure Alaskan magic. We wandered out where Nugget Falls trickles into the lake, framed by that vibrant white glacial ice. The couple kept it casual — jeans, beanies, and boots. Jess wore a white jacket, Austin a flannel. It was giving bridal, but make it Alaska.
Their laid-back love and effortless chemistry made my job easy. We had moody skies, a stony beach, and that dreamy lake reflection that made their gallery glow. Some photos stayed bold and colorful, others looked amazing in black and white — and every image felt authentic.
