The story of K & H
Kelsey and Hunter started dating on January of 2019 and were engaged in 2021 when Hunter proposed in MEXICO!
They knew that they wanted to do something adventurous and different and didn’t want a big wedding. After talking to Rebecca at La Boum Events a they decided to elope on Matanuska Glacier.
The most memorable and awesome moments from their day were the first look where they had butterflies released and saying “I do” in front of a glacial waterfall!
They spent 9 days in Alaska and other than their Alaskan adventure elopement, the highlights of the trip were: a marine tour in Seward (they saw whales!), a dog sled ride in Girdwood, and the grand finally was getting matching tattoos from one of their favorite songs.
10/10 an all inclusive perfect elopement/honeymoon with all the most wonderful vendors.

Eloping at Matanuska Glacier via helicopter is a unique and adventurous choice that promises a stunning backdrop for your special day. I 10/10 recommend it!
We started off the day and the cute little cabin K & H booked for their stay- a quick 20 minute drive over to Mica Guides where we would later embark on our adventure.
We had a first look with a butterfly release and had a few laughs as we got ready to head out. The butterflies didn’t love us at first but eventually they warmed up (literally) and we got to hang out with them.
We ended the night right where we started- back at the cabin with a homemade charcuterie board and some drinks. It was an all around perfect and intimate day!
A Review: I can’t recommend Chelsa enough! I am beyond thankful we booked her for our Alaskan elopement last July. She is not only an amazing, talented and wonderful photographer she is such an out going person to make sure you have the best day possible! We booked our elopement with La Boum Events and was recommended Chelsa by our wedding planner, after our first phone call we had with Chelsa I knew she was a winner! Even after our wedding she still keeps in touch, she is such a sweet soul and we are beyond thankful we got to meet her and have her apart of our Big Day!
